CLIENT OVERVIEW:

Enerfab Inc. is a leading provider of maintenance services, capital equipment components and technology solutions for industrial markets. The company manufactures and installs sophisticated equipment for utilities, the chemical industry and the food and beverage industry. Enerfab Inc. was recognized in 2008 as the fastest growing privately held company in Cincinnati by Cincy Business magazine.  Enerfab employs approximately 4,000 people and operates eight regional facilities throughout the United States.

BUSINESS CHALLENGE:

half pipe head pictureEnerfab had a fleet of stand-alone printers and fax machines for its heavy copying and faxing needs.  The equipment configuration was lacking critical equipment that would improve convenience and productivity on a daily basis.  The company’s fax costs were out of control; its engineers needed to produce blue prints and Class C drawings; and color printing was not available in-house, requiring all color materials to be outsourced.  Enerfab was faced with high costs for outsourced materials, as well as multiple invoices for equipment that was expensive to operate.

SOLUTION:

MOM upgraded Enerfab’s entire fleet to digital multi-functional printers (MFPs) with scan-to-e-mail technology and fax modules.  This upgrade reduced Enerfab’s cost of receiving faxes from 5 cents a page to just one penny.  A color Lanier LC440 with a Fiery™ print driver allows Enerfab to print brochures and other color materials in-house.  This improvement made such an impact that Enerfab now has 13 color MFPs.

Two wide format printers meet the engineers’ needs for technical drawings and blueprints, and MOM’s total care service program allows MOM to fulfill supply orders at various Enerfab locations across the United States.  For all of this, the company receives one itemized bill rather than a monthly barrage of invoices.
