CLIENT OVERVIEW:

Lake Shore Cryotronics is a private research and development corporation that specializes in innovative measurement and control technologies. Its primary source of growth comes from supplying the needs of scientists and researchers studying the physical properties of metals and ceramics at very low temperatures.  Over the years, Lake Shore has received five "IR-100" awards, demonstrating its ability to successfully bring research and development projects to the marketplace. The Westerville, Ohio-based company has been honored by Ohio with the state Excellence in Exporting Award for successfully meeting the challenges of developing overseas markets. Today, Lake Shore’s influence extends throughout North and South America, the United Kingdom, Europe, India, Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea.

BUSINESS CHALLENGE:

Handling the bulk of its printing in-house – creating instruction manuals, magazines, brochures and other business materials – Lake Shore was dissatisfied with the copier service and support of its former vendor. With its contract expiring, Lake Shore researched different vendors that could better meet its needs and offer superior service.

SOLUTION:

Lake Shore researched many vendors and visited MOM’s state-of-the-art Solution Center before purchasing/leasing three Lanier copiers – two black-and-white and one full-color. Lake Shore soon experienced MOM’s Total Care™ Promise, the strongest written customer satisfaction guarantee in the industry, when it encountered usage problems with the full-color copier. MOM replaced the machine with a Konica Minolta C450 with a Fiery™ to better meet the company’s needs. Today, Lake Shore’s fleet includes five black-and-white copiers, a full-color copier and two MOM water units. Lake Shore’s state-of-the-art office fleet now compliments its state-of-the-art research facility.
