The Wyoming City School District serves nearly two thousand children in the City of Wyoming, Ohio, a small residential community of 2.8 square miles.  Wyoming is a top district in the state of Ohio and ranks in the top 100 in the nation on advanced placement results.  The district has three primary schools, a junior high and a High School, as well as administrative offices.

The Wyoming City School District had tried to simplify its print management by using one manufacturer’s equipment however the equipment had been leased from the manufacturer under different contracts at different times and installed in different buildings.  This resulted in multiple bills as well as confusion over service.  Further complicating the billing problem was the matter of the nature of the school year.  The equipment was used heavily from August to May and hardly used at all during the summer.  The billing method offered by the manufacturer penalized the district for going under estimated usage in the summer and going over estimated usage during the school year.  

MOM’s custom billing solved many of the challenges the District faced. MOM offered the Wyoming a single invoice with usage calculated against an annual average giving the district full credit for low usage during the summer months.

MOM started with an assessment of the printing needs at each school and recommended a fleet of Konica Minolta equipment that suited the productivity needs at each campus.  MOM tied all the equipment together digitally with FleetCare™.  The FleetCare™ Assessment & Management Utility (AMU) collected data from all the connected printers and reported which equipment was being overused or underutilized.  This data allowed MOM to make suggestions as to how to better manage usage.  Wyoming’s printer supplies and service were also covered under the FleetCare™ program, freeing the district’s IT staff of responsibility for printer problems.  

The District also implimented software solution, unityDesktop™.  Wyoming needed this software to fold their student report cards during the printing process.  The software can decipher multiple page report cards by student and fold them accordingly, instead of interpretting a large stack of report cards and seeing them as single page documents.
