With many locations, Broadband Express held multiple contracts with vendors in each of its offices. The company strove to reduce operating costs and streamline billing. The company also sought a way to manage all of its copiers across the country from its headquarters in Westerville, Ohio, and searched for a new method to monitor and decrease day-to-day printing costs.

SOLUTION:

MOM equipped Broadband Express with new copiers and software in April 2009. Becoming the sole provider for all the copiers across the U.S. and giving Broadband Express one point of contact to manage the service calls, MOM consolidated the billing process from more than 50 invoices a month to just one invoice; significantly lowering the company’s billing costs.
Employing MOM’s FleetCare™ software, Broadband’s Westerville office automatically retrieves meter reads and schedules service calls for all of its locations across the country. Broadband also uses MOM’s Print Director, a software tool that monitors and redirects print jobs to manage the printing costs in the home office. Print Director alerts employees on their personal computers as to the most cost-effective place to print in the office. The program also automatically duplexes certain print jobs to decrease day-to-day printing costs and reduce paper waste.
Utilizing MOM’s DigiDocFlow® software, Broadband Express also is able to better manage documents internally through integration with Microsoft SharePoint. Employees can now scan documents from the copiers to Microsoft SharePoint directly from their handheld devices, allowing the software to then automatically file documents for archival and retrieval.
Broadband Express is now equipped with 21 Lanier copiers, three software programs and one MOM contact for all its maintenance needs. MOM has successfully given Broadband a full document management system that allows the company to decrease costs while improving quality.
