BUSINESS CHALLENGE:

Due to outdated equipment, Otterbein outsourced many departmental materials and color print jobs; this process was costly and the lead time was lengthy. The college wanted to decrease costs and have a copy center on campus for in-house printing.

SOLUTION:

Otterbein partnered with MOM to create the copy center located centrally on campus.  With a new fleet of 40 Lanier multifunctional devices (MFD’s), a Konica Minolta for high volume color printing, and two duplicators for envelopes, Otterbein brought 40% of their printing back for in-house.  This decreased printing costs by 60% in the first year and will continue to drive down overall outside printing costs. This fleet is capable of high volume printing and regularly provides the faculty, staff, and students with logoed envelopes, course booklets, and full color promotional materials for Otterbein’s famous theater performances.

MOM also offers Otterbein close account management and billing services. Technicians frequently inspect copiers on campus to monitor the volume and work closely with the business office to assist with budgeting. MOM looks forward to continually improving Otterbein’s printing processes and maintaining this important partnership.
