current print environment. Our analysis process is a proven strategy
to gather this information quickly without disruption to your
work environment.
Few organizations have conducted a formal assessment of how
to optimize the deployment of their workgroup printers, copiers,
and MFPs for cost reduction and worker productivity. Those that
have conducted assessments typically have done the work with internal
resources that are unlikely to produce the optimal results that
are achieved by formal assessments conducted by specialized third
parties.
Here’s what you can expect during the analysis phase:
- Printer Identification
We leverage network technology to gather information about your
printers. A non-invasive USB key captures key information that
is stored on your network printers: printer models, serial numbers,
and meter readings.
- Cost Identification
We work with you to determine the current cost of printer supplies
and support. This can be done by gathering information from
your office supply invoices or by using a recent survey of print
cartridge prices from national office supply retailers.
- Office Layout
During a quick walk through of your facilities, we’ll note the
location of each of your printers. Then with your permission,
we’ll talk with the appropriate department managers to learn
the key needs of their departments.
This information is used to guide the optimization phase.
