While our clients are most excited about color and scanning, new features on our digital copiers also make basic copying easier than ever.

Older analog copiers bounced light off the page through a series of lenses and then onto a drum, which put the image on the paper. New digital copiers actually make a digital scan of the original, enhance it, and then print it out. This leads to several key copying benefits:

Scan Once-Print Many
You’ll notice that your new digital copier simply makes one scan of your document and then begins making completed sets. Old sorter bin technology has been replaced with finishers that deliver one completed set at a time. This means you can start working with your copies before the entire job is completed.

Job Pre-scan
Have you ever walked up to the copier prepared to make copies, and then had to wait while the previous job finished? This is no longer a problem with job pre-scan. Users can walk up and scan in their copy job without waiting for the current job to finish. As soon as the current job is complete, the second job will run.

Unlimited Duplexing
Older copiers were limited in the number of pages they could duplex at one time. This was particularly challenging for high-volume applications like church bulletins or corporate newsletters. Digital copiers use simple, single-sheet duplexing. The image is copied on first the front and then the back of the page, rather than gathering sheets in a duplex tray. Not only is this more reliable, it also means you can run an unlimited number of pages through the duplexer.

Enhanced Photo Copying
Ironically, older analog photocopiers were not very good at copying photos. New digital copiers produce excellent copies of photographs and grayscale images. You’ll be pleased with the incredible resolution and clarity of your images.
